Garuda Wisnu Kencana(GWK)


Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park is a park in Jimbaran Bali attraction Statue GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana). GWK statue is a replica of the statue of Lord Vishnu riding Garuda vehicle named as high as 12 m, the work of the famous sculptor Bali, I Nyoman Nuarta. Area Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is located at an altitude of 146 meters above the ground or 263 feet above sea level.

This statue is projected to tie layout with visibility up to 20 km so that it can be seen from Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua to Tanah Lot. Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is a symbol of the mission of saving the environment and the world. The statue was made ​​from a mixture of copper and steel weighing 4,000 tons, with a height of 75 meters and a width of 60 meters. When construction is completed, the the statue will be the largest statue in the world and beat the Statue of Liberty.



GWK has several recreational areas include:

Vishnu Plaza
Vishnu Plaza is the highest ground in the area while the pedestrians where we place the most important part of the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue of Vishnu. At certain times of day, there will be some traditional Balinese performance with a magnificent statue of Vishnu as a backdrop. Due to its high location, you can see the panoramic surroundings. Parahyangan Somaka Giri placed next to a statue of Vishnu. Street Theater

Lotus Pond is the largest outdoor area at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park and, most likely, in Bali. Thus, Lotus Pond is the right and only for large-scale outdoor events.

Indraloka Garden
This park is named after the heaven God Indra Indraloka for beautiful panoramic view. Indraloka Garden is one of the most favorite places in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana to hold a small to medium sized, collection and wedding ceremonies. We can see the view from the top Indraloka Bali Garden

Amphitheatre
Amphitheatre is the outdoor venue for a special performance with a well-designed acoustic. Every evening you can watch famous Kecak dance and free is around 18:30 s / d 19:30 pm. Even Kecak Dance can be collaborated with other regional dances.

Tirta Agung

Tirta Agung is the perfect outdoor space for intermediate events. You can also visit the statue of Vishnu's hand, part of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue located nearby.

Holiday on Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot in Bali is a place of recreation that offers the beauty of nature to see the sunset.Tanah lot located in the Beraban Village Kediri Tabanan District, taken approximately 45 minutes from Kuta area. Here there are two temples are located on a large rock. One is located on top of the boulder, when the tide of,this temple will be seen surrounded by the sea and the other, precisely in the north Tanah Lot temple located there is a jutting into the sea and over the cliff.
Tanah Lot temples is part of the temple Sad Kahyangan.Tanah Lot temple in the middle of the beach is a place of worship of the gods of the sea guard. Tanah Lot, famous as a beautiful place to watch the sunset, usually the guests will arrive in the afternoon to see the beauty of the sunset.

  According to legend Tanah Lot was founded by a lady called Brahmins from Java Nirartha that embraces Hinduism, and he managed to strengthen the trust of local people to the teachings of Hinduism and Sad kahyangan.
